Outside Villa Velanidi

The Villa is set in 2700 square meters of fenced garden with a pool. Surrounded by olive trees, it has beautiful views of the Ionian sea, Mount Aenos, and the nearby valley. A concrete drive leads from the road through iron gates with lighted posts to a large parking area. There are flower beds on either side of the short walk to the main door with fruit trees just beyond. Surrounding the villa are lawns and the lawn next to the pool is ideal for children's games.

Near the pool and just off the living room balcony is a large barbecue.

       
           

The swimming pool is 45 square metres and tiled with stairs and a ladder. It is 0.7 meters deep at the shallow end and 1.7 meters deep at the deep end. A stone patio surrounds the pool. There are lights on the patio, spots lights from the Villa, and underwater lights to illuminate the pool for night use.

We supply loungers, lounger tables and sun umbrellas as poolside furniture. There is also a sofa, chairs and table suitable for outdoor use on the lower floor.

The pool is fully maintained by an attendant who comes two or three times per week.

Villa Velanidi is on a hillside southwest of the centre of Kaligata in the Livathos region of Kefalonia. By foot it is equidistant from Kaligata and Kourkoumelata. It is about 900 meters from the paved road leading from Kaligata to Avithos beach. On the same road and near Villa Velanidi is Serene Villa. Although it is possible to walk to Avithos Beach and the villages, you will need a car.

Kaligata has a mini-market and Kourkemelata has a café. The airport is about 10 to 15 minutes by car and Argostoli a further ten minutes. Supermarkets are about ten minutes by car by driving through Kourkoumelata and past Metaxata. Avithos beach, which has parking and tavernas, is about five minutes by car or 20 minutes by foot.

Despite its convenient location to the airport, the villa is not under the flight path so there is no airplane noise.
